Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a skilled Therapist to provide evidence-based mental health, substance use, and aggression management treatment services to residents at the Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center. This position requires a professional and dynamic individual to work with youth, ages 14 to 20, in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapies to residents
  • Work with multiple disciplines to establish and maintain a therapeutic milieu
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to reduce recidivism

Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge in delivering evidence-based treatment services/psychotherapy to adolescents
  • Experience in individual, family, and/or group therapy
  • Skilled in working within a multidisciplinary treatment team
