We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Exceptional Care, a leading provider of children's residential care services. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our 2-bedded children's residential home in Garstang, Lancashire.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that each young person's needs are met through effective assessment and care planning. You will also be responsible for managing the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and ensuring that all care planning, regulations, leadership requirements, and needs of the children are met.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be expected to promote team development and effective team working, facilitate and support young people in decision-making, and consistently apply strategies developed in response to challenging behaviors. You will also be responsible for liaising with other agencies and professionals as necessary, recording information about young people, and ensuring communication with staff members.
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in children's residential care, preferably with a Level 3 or 4 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification or equivalent. You should have at least 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting at a senior level and hold a full UK manual driving license.
