About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Grand Care Centre. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional person-centred care to our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead by Example: Demonstrate a professional manner and appearance, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  2. Care Team Management: Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team, ensuring a quality delivery of care for the duration of the shift.
  3. Resident Care Planning: Manage the delivery of residents' personalised care according to their agreed plan of care for the duration of a shift.
  4. Coaching and Supervision: Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain correctly written records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
  7. Rota Management: Manage daily rotas and delegate daily workload ensuring sufficient and safe use of manpower.
  8. Admission Process: Ensure that all new admission files are completed within the week of arrival, with contributions from the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
  9. External Relationships: Build relationships with external professionals.
  10. Quality Audits: Assist the home manager to carry out regular quality audits of care plans.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Experience in Elderly care is essential.
  2. Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a Valid PIN.
  3. Knowledge: Evidence of knowledge relating to the care of older people in order to undertake the coaching and supervision of Senior Care and Care Assistants.
  4. Skills: Demonstrate the ability to co-ordinate and motivate a team, prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively.
