Job Title: Executive Kitchen Leader

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Everglades Hotel as an Executive Kitchen Leader. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the smooth running of food production, ensuring consistent quality and quantity while maintaining high standards of safety.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production.
  2. Purchase, receive, and store stock effectively to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  3. Maintain clean working areas at all times to prevent cross-contamination and promote a safe working environment.
  4. Support other kitchen staff as needed to achieve maximum productivity.
  5. Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to required standards in food production and preparation.
  6. Perform administrative tasks as communicated by superiors to maintain accurate records.
  7. E nsure that customer expectations are exceeded by promoting high levels of service.
  8. Attend to customer complaints, inquiries, and suggestions promptly.
  9. Provide guidance and support to kitchen members when needed to resolve conflicts and improve teamwork.
  10. Resolve disputes within the kitchen and report unresolved issues to management.
  11. Promote good team spirit by encouraging open communication and collaboration among kitchen staff.
  12. Prepare dishes according to specification and serve at correct quality, portion size, and temperature.
  13. Contribute to kitchen cleaning rosters and supervision to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  14. Prepare substitute items as needed to accommodate special requests or ingredient shortages.
  15. Ensure harmonious kitchen staff for timely food production by communicating clearly and respectfully.
  16. Arrange and garnish food properly to enhance presentation and appeal.
  17. Manage food logs to track inventory and monitor quality.
  18. Monitor food quality and quantity to maintain high standards.
  19. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training cook employees to build a strong and skilled team.
  20. Report maintenance needs to appropriate staff to ensure a safe and functional kitchen environment.
