About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language and Literature Specialist to join our team at Step Teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to work in a well-led, collaborative, and supportive environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students at a secondary school level. They will need to have strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum and be able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach English Language and Literature to students at a secondary school level
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as an English Teacher at a secondary school level
  • A good level of classroom and behaviour management
