Fire Risk Assessor Job Description

Brandon James Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Fire Risk Assessor to join our Risk Management Team. As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments, providing clear and comprehensive fire safety advice to clients, and assisting in fire consultancy and advice on bespoke works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) to identify potential fire hazards and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive fire safety advice to clients, including guidance on fire safety regulations and best practices.
  • Assist in fire consultancy, advice on bespoke works, and conduct compartmentation or intrusive surveys as needed.
  • Support the QA Supervisor by reviewing and ensuring the quality of FRA reports.
  • Assist the Training Department by delivering on-site and online fire safety training courses based on client needs.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and partners, while ensuring effective communication with the Head of Fire Risk Management.
  • Contribute to business growth by delivering high-quality services, securing new business, and generating revenue through FRAs, quality assurance, and training courses.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in delivering Type 1 FRAs.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices.
