Job Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team at Koniclab. As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for attending meetings with clients and prospects to showcase technical abilities, providing assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process, and collating client information to produce solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Attending meetings with clients and prospects to showcase technical abilities
  2. Providing assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying technical and business requirements prior to designing an IT solution
  3. Collating client information to produce solutions
  4. Writing and producing documentation, designs, and proposals
  5. Delivering technical presentations both internally and externally
  6. Working with various teams to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
  7. Creating scopes of works for project delivery teams and working with them to successfully deliver a project
  8. Providing technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
  9. Promoting and quoting technical solutions, managed services and support services with professionalism and enthusiasm
  10. Providing accurate and timely management information and activity reports and forecasts
  11. Providing technical specialist support in some or all of the following: Microsoft Server/365/Azure, HPe Server/Storage, Aruba Switching, Dell Server/Storage, SonicWALL Firewall/Switching, Ruckus Wi-Fi/Switching and other leading specialist vendors
Requirements
  1. Experience with MS 365 and Azure (predominantly security - Endpoint Manager servers - Business Prem/E3 stack)
  2. Virtualisation (VMWare vSphere, Hyper-V)
  3. Storage SANs (HP MSA/Nimble - Dell MD)
  4. Windows Server
  5. Active Directory
  6. Exchange Server
  7. SQL Server
  8. Switching (including dynamic routing and dynamic VLANS)
  9. Firewalling and perimeter security (Next gen firewalls)
  10. Wi-Fi (enterprise grade)
  11. Good understanding of communication networks (Lease Line Radio - FTTP - etc)
  12. Remote Desktop Services /AVD
  13. SSLVPNs
  14. Basic SQL configuration and infrastructure optimisation
  15. Good understanding of MSP support and managed services offerings
  16. Full Clean UK driving license
  17. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a thoroughly professional approach
  18. Professional in appearance and with good commercial acumen
  19. Experience of actively driving and managing the pre sales process
  20. Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
  21. Must be comfortable in a working from home environment and be able to visit the office once or twice a month
  22. Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential as experience is valued more highly
