Role Responsibility

The Sales and Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for providing internal and external sales and distribution support to our team and the Tarmac group. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales and distribution of our Readymix 'RMX' product range to our customers
  • Supporting the raising and pricing of quotes that will process to order conversion or query resolutions
  • Working with the team to convert enquiries into orders, respond to sales calls and emails
  • Accurately processing all order information and responding positively and confidently to our customers' requests, orders, scheduling and planning to ensure timely delivery of orders agreed with our customers optimising cost through effective planning
  • Demonstrating an excellent telephone manner when dealing with customers
  • Prioritising and multitasking daily duties
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
  • Engaging with the customer to better understand requirements by developing and demonstrating industry-leading product knowledge which will help you to attain and proactively keep abreast of new trends/products in the market by attending product and vendor training, researching and even self-study

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

  • SAP, CRM and Microsoft IT systems
  • Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Showing a positive attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
  • Being proactive to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goals
