About the Role

The Children's Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and care needs of our pupils with complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities

Support the teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and complex therapeutic, medical, and health needs.

Work collaboratively with the teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans and behavior management strategies.

Provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and assist with the preparation of resources needed for lessons.

Requirements

Experience working with children with complex needs and a strong understanding of the importance of providing a holistic approach to education, health, and care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other support staff.

Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
