Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Aseptic Services Officer. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for the preparation of sterile products in response to prescriptions for adult and neonatal parenteral nutrition, intravenous additive products, and cytotoxic preparations.

Main Responsibilities

As an Aseptic Services Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing a wide range of sterile products, including parenteral nutrition, intravenous additive products, and cytotoxic preparations.
  • Working as part of the operational team to achieve accreditations and engage in the mentoring and training of new staff.
  • Building knowledge and expertise in aseptic services over time to provide bespoke lifesaving treatment to patients.
  • Participating in the development of skills in aseptic services and gaining accreditation in regional schemes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • GPhC registration.
  • Previous pharmacy aseptic services experience (desirable).
  • Accreditations such as PIPC, PAAP, and ACPT (desirable).
