About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Preservation Coalition as a Digital Project Curator, working on the EMKP project at the British Museum.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive the digital vision and implementation of EMKP, ensuring the long-term preservation and curation of ethnographic resources.
  • Develop and lead best practices in digital anthropology and oversee the EMKP granting process.
  • Promote the work of EMKP and the museum through independent and collaborative research and dissemination.
Digital Preservation and Curation:
  • Manage the repository and all aspects of digital asset ingest and publication.
  • Ensure best practice in managing rights and ethics.
  • Develop and lead new functions and activities.
Innovative Approaches:
  • Develop innovative approaches to digital ethnography/anthropology.
  • Provide training in areas of expertise to EMKP grantees and community.
Grant Management:
  • Oversee and guide the EMKP granting process.
  • Manage the annual grant giving process.
  • Support and advise prospective applicants.
  • Manage grant awards and work with the global community of funded researchers.
Salary:

£65,000 - £85,000 per annum
