The Fostering Network is committed to empowering, enriching and supporting the relationships at the heart of the fostering community. Our Fostering Kinship Support programme takes a trauma-informed approach to supporting kinship fostering families, aiming to improve family relationships, connectedness, supported placements, wellbeing and ultimately outcomes for children and families.

About the Programme

This programme is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and enables The Fostering Network to coproduce an effective service that is truly informed and shaped by the needs and wishes of kinship fostering families. As Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the programme's success, working closely with kinship fostering families, partners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality services.

Requirements
  • Third-level qualification in youth work, sociology, psychology, community work, social work or equivalent
  • At least three years' experience working within a community context to provide activities and resources to families
  • Leadership skills, with ability to work collaboratively with partner organisations
  • Trauma-informed approach, with solution-focused mindset
