Risk Manager, Market and Financial Risk – Crypto / Digital Asset Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team at Austin Werner.

  1. Conduct risk assessments and create risk profiles for various processes, systems, and projects.
  2. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and suggest improvements as needed.
  3. Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with regulatory compliance and information security.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management

• Conduct risk assessments and create risk profiles for various processes, systems, and projects.

• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and suggest improvements as needed.

• Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with regulatory compliance and information security.

Regulatory Compliance

• Assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory audits and reviews.

• Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and ensure that the company's risk management practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and information security teams to address regulatory changes and their impact on the organization.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in market and financial risk management, ideally within capital markets with knowledge of the Crypto / Digital Asset sector.
  • Strong understanding of information security governance, risk assessments, and industry-recognised frameworks including NIST and ISO27001.
  • Proven knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FCA, AMF, BMA, MICA, DORA, GDPR, and security governance.
  • Ability to engage across all layers of a business both domestically and internationally.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and apply project management methodology.
