CV-Library is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Therapeutic Child Care Practitioner to ensure high-quality care in a supportive environment that encourages children to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and assist the Registered Manager in running the home according to legislation and organisational policies.
  • Ensure the home operates within National Quality Care Standards and Regulations for Children's Homes, delivering outstanding results for children.
  • Provide a child-centred environment with high-quality physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care and support, acting as a positive adult role model.
  • Support children's health, medical, and educational needs.
  • Promote and evidence children's identity, including religion, culture, ethnicity, sexuality, and linguistic needs.
  • Respond to inspections, audits, complaints, and investigations.
  • Take responsibility for professional development and participate in supervision, performance review development, and training events.
  • Identify and address diverse groups of children and adults' needs.
  • Practice carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and Lancashire's Safeguarding Children's Board policies.
  • Manage challenging behaviour with compassion both within and outside the home.
  • Undertake personal care and moving and handling where required.
What We Offer

The salary for this position is estimated at £36,500 - £41,000 per annum, plus bonus and overtime. The shift pattern consists of 10 x 24-hour shifts per month on a rolling rota pattern, with a training period until early 2025 being Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
