Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team in a male-only unit specialising in dementia care and supporting residents who may display challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the care team and ensure adherence to CQC guidelines.
- Deliver high standards of care to residents and promote independence, dignity, and positive risk-taking.
- Supervise and guide junior staff to support the quality of care within the unit.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Proven experience in elderly care, specifically with mental health and challenging behaviour needs.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and organised.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- Prior supervisory experience within a care or nursing home setting.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- A passion for delivering exceptional care.

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £25,740 - £34,320 per annum, dependent on experience.
