About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a large special educational needs college in Central London. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing general classroom support and may work one-to-one or in small groups with students aged 16-25 who have Autism, SLD, and Complex Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide personal care support to students who require assistance with daily tasks
  • To develop positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and well-being
  • To participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the college's policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is essential
  • Able to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality at all times

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
