Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is currently hiring Higher Level Teaching Assistants for mainstream Primary Schools based in Southampton. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will be working within the class to support the class teachers with their lessons, working alongside a team of support staff in the class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support class teachers with lessons and classroom activities
  • Work with a team of support staff to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Assist with the development and implementation of lesson plans
  • Provide individualized support to students as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential
  • Excellent team spirit and good behaviour management skills
  • Passion for teaching and strong command of the curriculum
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or happy to apply for one with GSL Education
