Job Title: Wind Turbine Technical Lead

Taylor Hopkinson Limited is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the WTG package engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and motivate the WTG package engineering team to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Review and validate WTG supplier technical documentation and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  3. Manage and coordinate WTG technical and interface aspects to ensure seamless integration with other project components.
  4. Make informed decisions on technology choices and technical configurations to optimize project outcomes.
  5. Review and discuss technical schedules with turbine manufacturers to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  6. Participate in design review and manufacturing meetings with suppliers and inspectors to ensure quality and compliance.
  7. Assist in clarifying technical queries and providing expert advice to project stakeholders.
  8. Support in technical contract negotiations with turbine manufacturers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  9. Liaise with external professionals providing technical expertise and project support to evaluate operational and performance issues.
  10. Organize and lead conference calls with suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Requirements:
  1. Extensive technical and practical knowledge of wind turbine technology, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  2. Good understanding of industry standards and offshore regulations.
  3. Knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation associated with construction projects.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  5. Systematic and structured approach, with the ability to prepare and deliver on plan.
  6. Experience of working in a team and delivering against targets and reporting.
  7. Pro-active and diligent approach, with a high level of attention to detail.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills, report writing, and presentation skills.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  10. Ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT-based project management software.
  11. Experience using VMS management systems.
