Role Overview
As a Design Director at OLIVER Agency, you will be responsible for leading and creating impactful and engaging design solutions across a mix of channels. You will work in close partnership with our client to deliver high-value craft and conceptual design, challenging the work and pushing creative boundaries to deliver best-in-class design that inspires and engages the client's audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of designers, working closely with OLIVER's Head of Design, Head of Copy, and the clients' Marketing and Creative teams to produce stunning communications.
- Generate strong craft and conceptual design, adhering to industry best practices.
- Craft award-worthy creative solutions for ATL, BTL, and TTL campaigns, from branded toolkits to digital-first marketing activity.
- Influence and own the look-and-feel across all products in the client's brand portfolio.
- Take responsibility for the flow and quality of work produced, ensuring a time-efficient manner.
- Build tight, honest, and robust partnerships with client stakeholders.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency, staying on top of industry trends in art, illustration, and typography.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a design leader working in a marketing/design/advertising role.
- Excellent understanding of brand guidelines and graphic design principles.
- Familiarity with a range of channels and formats, including print and digital OOH, print ads, CRM, social media, and online content.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma.
- A working knowledge of motion design and storyboarding is a bonus.
- Keen sense of personal responsibility for the quality control, presentation, and accuracy of all work.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a Design Director who is a proactive, hands-on, and independent creative thinker/craftsperson. You should have an impressive portfolio and be able to direct and lead both projects and people. You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues.
