Overview

As the Culinary Operations Manager, you will hold comprehensive operational and financial oversight of the catering services within educational institutions, focusing on delivering exceptional quality meals and service while showcasing creativity and innovation in the school dining sector.

  • Hourly wage of £14.50

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the team to ensure a consistently excellent dining experience for students and staff in accordance with company standards
  • Leading the preparation of appetizing and nutritious meals of the highest caliber, utilizing fresh and sustainable ingredients, and supervising menu creation
  • Providing exceptional support and mentorship to the team
  • Leading, developing, coaching, and training all staff in an encouraging and motivating environment
  • Maintaining complete control over the catering operations, including inventory, food, and labor expenses
  • Managing and optimizing all controllable costs
  • Enhancing sales through monthly promotions and value-added events
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients and customers
  • Ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation
  • Conducting regular audits to verify that standards are upheld
Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A natural leader with a positive attitude who can exemplify excellent teamwork
  • Prior experience in team management
  • Hands-on experience with fresh ingredients
  • OND or HND qualification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations within a kitchen environment
  • Financial acumen regarding gross profit management and achieving sales objectives
