About the Role

As a Chef at Elysium Healthcare, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our service users, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with our Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and will be expected to take ownership of your work and contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Maintain good food storage procedures and stock rotation
  • Prepare, plan, and cook meals to a consistently high standard
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner
  • Participate in food costings and adhere to 'Safer Food Better Business' standards
  • Adhere to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures
Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • GCSE or equivalent English
  • City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking
  • Basic Food Hygiene (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
