About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Protection Specialist to join our team in Windsor, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, organized retail crime, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Building Relationships
    • Communicate with APSS and MAPM on internal and external investigations and physical security within the store.
  • Compliance
    • Detain and interview persons apprehended for shoplifting in accordance with local laws and company procedures.
    • Drive execution of store safety programs and validate compliance with company standards and policies.
    • Check physical security of The Home Depot facilities to prevent and deter theft/fraudulent activity.
  • Build Skills and Knowledge
    • Meet all Home Depot and AP training and certification requirements.
    • Plan effectively utilize CCTV and exception reports and audit the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems.
    • Test building alarm system.
    • Understand and use financial indicators/metrics to measure performance.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects to completion.
  • Exceptional Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office knowledge a must.
  • Ability to accomplish multiple assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
