Job Title: Consultant in Ophthalmology Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant in Ophthalmology Specialist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Ophthalmology Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services, driving research and innovation, and contributing to the development of our genetic eye disease and medical retina services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide clinical leadership and expertise in genetic eye disease and medical retina
* Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
* Contribute to the development of our research portfolio and participate in clinical trials
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, integrated care

Person Specification:

* MB BS or equivalent qualification
* FRCOphth or equivalent
* Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment
* Eligibility to work in the UK
