About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our esteemed client in Cardiff. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our discerning clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Oversee the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery and high-quality food standards
  • Conduct quality control checks on all consumables leaving the kitchen
  • Adhere to all company Health & Safety standards and policies

About the Kitchen:

Our kitchen is a modern British fusion gastro kitchen, serving high-end cuisine to our clients. As a Sous Chef, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and creativity are essential.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fine dining or gastro restaurant
  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a quality fresh produce cooking environment
  • Rosetted Restaurant or Gastro experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to self-motivate and motivate others
  • Ability to work well in a team and train new staff when required
  • Passion for cooking and creativity in the kitchen
