Job Description

We are working with our client, an established MSP, to find a skilled Technical Consultant to join their growing team.

  • Pre-Sales Support
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions with potential clients to understand their infrastructure and technology requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of proposed solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and solution designs.
  • Provide technical expertise during client meetings and calls.
  • Assist in estimating project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.

Infrastructure Assessment and Design

  • Evaluate client's existing IT infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Analyse data and diagnose issues to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and risks.
  • Design hybrid cloud, virtualisation, and other infrastructure solutions to meet client needs.

Implementation and Delivery

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute to the implementation and configuration of solutions such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and VMware.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the rollout of new technologies.
  • Train client staff on the use of new systems, processes, and IT tools.

Ongoing Support and Optimization

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain and optimize storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and performance audits.
  • Update documentation and procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Infrastructure IT or technology consulting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and other virtualization technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in pre-sales activities and client-facing roles.
