Job Title: Senior Children Services Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Children Services Practitioner to join our team at Croydon Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide leadership and expertise in the delivery of positive safety and well-being outcomes for children. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement evidence-based plans, provide direct support to children and families, and coordinate multi-professional input to assessment and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and expertise in the delivery of positive safety and well-being outcomes for children
  • Develop and implement evidence-based plans to support children and families
  • Provide direct support to children and families, including engagement and relationship building, case holding, and analytical and continuous assessment
  • Coordinate multi-professional input to assessment and planning, including the matching of child/family with evidence-based services
  • Apply theoretical frameworks and practice models to all aspects of practice, including reflective supervision and continuous professional development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker and up-to-date registration with Social Work England
  • Foundation level systemic practice qualification (desirable)
  • Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care, and areas that impact on children's social care
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings
  • Able to maintain records that evidence engagement with children and families, informs the quality assurance framework, and provides quantitative, qualitative, and outcome information for children and families
