About this Opportunity

We are a dynamic team of finance change professionals and software developers, embedding bank-wide changes within Retail Finance in a controlled and clear manner, and delivering optimized financial modeling solutions. We engage with colleagues across Retail Finance to generate positive, data-driven improvements to the technical landscape and tools used. We are engaged in the end-to-end process, from analyzing the issues to providing solutions and training users on the new technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand existing financial forecasting models built in Excel.
  • Collaborate with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and understand business processes.
  • Document and deconstruct existing models to identify key components and logic.
  • Develop detailed scopes and technical specifications for rebuilding models in Python.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of specifications.
  • Support testing and validation of new models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users on new models and tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a financial environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and VBA within a financial modeling context.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Python and Power Query is not required but would be useful. Previous knowledge of other programming languages would also be useful.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
