The University of Bristol is seeking a skilled Digital Application Lifecycle Specialist to join its IT Services team. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the institution's digital applications portfolio.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including university colleagues and external suppliers, to deliver high-quality application lifecycle management services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including experience with SaaS applications, Windows, and Linux servers.

A key aspect of this position is maintaining a culture of continuous improvement to enhance service delivery within the team and wider IT Services. This involves staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, as well as collaborating with other teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

Requirements
  • Experience with enterprise application lifecycle management, from implementation to decommissioning
  • Familiarity with managing applications on various platforms, including Linux, Windows, and SaaS
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Bash
  • Good understanding and experience of IT service management principles and best practices
