**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and have excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management abilities, experience working with secondary school students, and a passion for supporting student learning. As a Cover Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of regular teachers, managing student behavior, delivering pre-planned lessons, and ensuring a positive learning environment.

This role offers flexibility, with both full and part-time positions available. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of schools, including SEND schools, and may even lead to long-term or permanent positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of regular teachers
  • Manage student behavior and ensure engagement in their work
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects
  • Ensure a conducive learning environment
  • Support students with their learning and create a positive atmosphere
  • Contribute to the wider needs of the school

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary school students
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Passion for education and commitment to supporting student learning

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
