Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Career Trails. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality building surveying services to our clients in the commercial and residential sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough building surveys and produce detailed reports for commercial and residential properties.
  • Cary out dilapidations assessments and negotiate settlements with clients and contractors.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on building regulations and compliance, ensuring they meet all relevant standards.
  • Undertake measured surveys and produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of surveyors and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Chartered membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in building surveying, preferably in a consultancy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and legislation in the UK.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively to deliver results.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
