As a seasoned professional in building surveying, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to clients in the commercial and residential sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team at Career Trails. Your role will involve conducting thorough surveys of commercial and residential properties, producing detailed reports, and providing expert advice on building regulations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

**Conducting Surveys and Reporting**: Conduct comprehensive building surveys and produce accurate, detailed reports for commercial and residential properties.

**Dilapidations Assessments**: Carry out dilapidations assessments and negotiate settlements with clients.

**Project Management**: Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring successful project delivery.

**Technical Advice**: Provide expert technical advice and guidance to clients on building regulations and compliance.

**Surveying Skills**: Undertake measured surveys and produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD.

**Team Leadership**: Manage and coordinate a team of surveyors and technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

**Client Relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and confidence.

**Business Development**: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of Career Trails.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field
  • Chartered membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building surveying, preferably in a consultancy setting
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and legislation in the UK
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Full UK driving license
