About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the role of Chief Executive at Friends of the Elderly, a leading charity dedicated to supporting older people in living well in later life.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that are personalised to individual needs, integrated with local communities, and developed in partnership with local authorities.

The new Chief Executive will have a proven track record of achieving the highest standards of care, compliance, and charity governance, with a passion for exceptional care for older people.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the charity's strategy and business plan
  • Ensuring the effective management of the charity's finances and resources
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, partners, and beneficiaries
  • Maintaining high standards of care and governance throughout the organisation

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, able to inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results. They will have a deep understanding of the charity sector and a passion for making a positive difference to the lives of older people.

The successful candidate will be a natural communicator, able to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries.
