Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Youth Engagement Facilitator to join our team as an Engagement Coach. This role will involve working with students in our Alternative Provision, providing support, mentoring, and coaching to enhance their participation and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver activities to meet the needs of students, including team-building games, social interaction exercises, critical thinking activities, sports, and restorative practice.
  • Support student resilience, social, emotional, mental health, and wellbeing by promoting a positive outlook towards learning.
  • Consult with the school lead to set targets and report on progress and behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, students, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and protection of children in your care by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A DBS check is essential for this role.
  • A Coaching, Mentoring, Assessing, or Teaching qualification is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with 11-16-year-olds is necessary.
  • Experience in delivering training and working in diverse education, community, and/or sports environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience of working with young people who are hard to engage is an advantage.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, based on a 5-day week with 5 hours per day.
  • Paid holiday accrued annually.
