Your Role

You will work closely with students in our Alternative Provision, providing support, mentoring, and coaching to help them achieve their goals. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing activities and resources tailored to meet the needs of students, while consulting with the school lead to set targets and report on progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging sessions that foster participation, retention, and progression among students.
  • Assist students who require additional support through one-on-one sessions.
  • Support the school lead in planning and delivering sessions.
  • Attend staff meetings and maintain effective communication with staff, students, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A DBS check (essential).
  • A coaching, mentoring, assessing, or teaching qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with 11-16-year-olds.
  • Experience delivering training and working in diverse education settings.
  • Ability to work with students who are hard to engage.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour week. You'll also receive 28 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays, and access to a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and professional development opportunities.
