Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the Occupational Therapy Team provide a proactive and flexible range of Therapy Assistant Support to the Therapy Team and Residents within Badby Park whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with companyprocedures, documented policy and employment legislation.

You will strive for efficiency, whilst continuously improving the delivery of Therapy services in collaboration with managers.

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing effective and accurate clinical entries and outcomes of activities using an electronic patient database system
- To take ownership and lead on the 12 week timetable - including booking rooms for 12 week review, chairing the review, ensuring questionnaires are out on time, supporting new staff with it, making developments as agreed by the team
- To be the representative for the Therapy Team at the Events committee and to support with events a whole, ensuring to integrate the events committee alongside the 12 week timetable and ensure sufficient activity is planned on planning week when groups arereduced.
- To run monthly peer supervision with other TA’s from this co-ordinate monthly Group supervision with relevant professional to enhance the skills of the TA team
- To have an in depth understanding of RWO and support OT to run it effectively
- To Lead on equipment audits - ensuring the other TA have competed them timely and effectively. Review results and link in with relevant professional any concerns or shortfalls
- To attend referrals and take leadership in ensuring any planned admission have been added to timetable and liaise with relevant professional to ensure all equipment is accessible and in place
- To develop and co-ordinate an equipment needs system and rota between the TA’s for the home. This may include attending handover and ensuring any equipment matters are resolved quickly and effectively (outside of needs that require qualified input)
- To deliver Therapy in line with the timetable overseen by qualified professionals
- To provide technical support and instruction to patients engaging in creative and vocational activities as therapeutic interventions

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Registered OT with Dip COT qualification or degree
- Previous experience of working with adults and or young people with mental health disorders
- Any other specific skills which can be utilised in this setting: Art & Craft, Horticulture, Cooking, Music
- Previous experience in organising/facilitating social events and activities.
- Any relevant certificates, courses and skills that would enhance the delivery and diversity of therapeutic activities
- Strong knowledge of best practices within a similar setting
