Job Title: Locum Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our community mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our community mental health team to provide medical leadership and contribute to patient management decisions.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans and treatment formulations in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our community mental health team, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, share knowledge, and develop strategies for improving patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Experience in community mental health and a strong understanding of the Care Programme Approach and New Ways of Working.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong leadership and clinical skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to our community mental health team.
