Job Summary

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Acute Care team. As a key member of the Home Treatment Team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and contributing to patient management decisions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Home Treatment Team to manage complex cases and provide clinical leadership in the Acute Care setting.
  • Attend weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement care plans, treatment formulations, and guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
  • Conduct Mental Health Act 1983 assessments and implement the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 in the Acute Care setting.
  • Work collaboratively with community consultants and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
