About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to children and young people across Flintshire and Wrexham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat mental disorders in children and adolescents in a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff members
  • Participate in clinical governance, strategic work, and management roles
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures

Requirements
  • Registration on GMC Specialist or Specialist Registrar able to take up post within 3 months of completing CCST
  • MRCPsych
  • Experience of working in community CAMHS settings
  • Knowledge of Children Act (1989), Mental Health Act (1983), and Mental Capacity Act (2005)
  • Excellent communication skills, effective leadership, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
