We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Manager to join our Digital Services team at the Met Office. As a Digital Manager, you will play a key role in delivering and lifecycleing products within our three portfolios: Citizen Products, Hazards & Resilience, and Data Provisioning.

You will work closely with our product managers and the Head of Digital Services to provide knowledge and expertise in areas such as operational contract management, financial management, risk and issue management, and recruitment.

Key responsibilities include managing delivery partner contracts, scheduling software renewals, and providing management support to the Head of Digital Services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the Met Office.

  • A competitive salary of up to £72,530 per annum
  • An outstanding Civil Service pension with an average employer contribution of 27%
  • Annual leave starting at 27.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 32.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) after 5 years
  • Option to buy or sell up to 5 days per year of annual leave
Essential Criteria
  • Passion for Digital and Delivery: You are an expert by nature and have a passion for delivering first-class Digital products to users.
  • Planning and monitoring skills: You know how to lead a continual planning process in a complex environment.
  • Financial management: You are confident in writing management documentation, such as Business Cases and monthly management reports.
