Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Zachary Daniels, a leading online retailer of home and furniture products. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting our Senior Buyer in creating compelling ranges across various categories, including home and furniture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the product development process, ensuring that it meets customer requirements and team KPIs.
- Support Senior Buyer in making informed decisions while adhering to the critical plan.
- Analyze and evaluate the overall performance of the product areas responsible for assigned to you.
- Work alongside Senior Buyer to drive sales and profitability through effective negotiations on key deliverables.
- Manage critical path and day-to-day communications effectively with suppliers.
- Confidently raise concerns to Senior Buyer to ensure team success.
- Stay ahead of the market and competitors through comp shops, proactively identifying trends and product opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years operating at a similar level, preferably within online retail/homewares.
- Strong organizational skills, highly commercial, and a real passion for homewares.
- A driven and self-disciplined individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel into London as and when needed.
- Great collaboration skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships cross-functionally, namely the Design team and Marketing team.
