Operations Analyst Job Description

McLean HR is seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to join their team in the City of London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a boutique wealth/asset management firm that is continually evolving. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting a multi-product business with a primary focus on Trade Support and Settlements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Booking trades into internal systems and custodian platforms, and monitoring settlement cycles.
  • Performing asset reconciliations, including for physical stock holdings.
  • Supporting ECM placement of deals by processing transactions and monitoring the settlement cycle to ensure capital raised is remitted to the corporate client promptly.
  • Monitoring business activity booked at Tercero Platform Services.
  • Working closely with the client onboarding function to ensure client data is accurate for MiFID II reporting.
  • Collaborating with IT on projects to improve Operations processes.
  • Ensuring procedures and policies are accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' commercial experience in financial services.
  • A keen interest in investment banking, trading, operations, and wealth management.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equities is preferred.
  • Experience in trade bookings, reconciliations, and assisting with corporate actions is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Passion, drive, and a desire to learn are highly valued.
