Job Summary
Utah State University is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and modifications to campus equipment and facilities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Assist in repairs or modifications to University equipment or property according to requirements prioritized by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, air and water systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines and take corrective action as needed.
- Responsible for University-wide maintenance requirements, report or recommend needed steps or take necessary action in emergencies.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must be willing to actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work required overtime as needed.

Salary
$10-$12.00 an hour based on experience

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects.
