Technician for Fleet Maintenance

Arriva Midlands North Limited is seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at the Shrewsbury Depot. As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses.

The role involves servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards, as well as continuous improvement of vehicle reliability. You will also be responsible for MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
  • MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards

Requirements:

  • Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle
  • At least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV
  • Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
  • A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
  • Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical

Shift Work:

  • Working 5 days over 6 (Shifts between 05:30am - 14:00pm and 14:00pm - 22:00pm) No Sunday work
