We are seeking an experienced Area Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Leicestershire. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of automotive components. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead the design and development of automotive components.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports, including performance management.
  • Work on design projects from concept to delivery.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain to ensure seamless project execution.
**Ideal Candidate:**
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Area Lead Mechanical Design Engineer who can demonstrate:
  • MEng or BEng degree in an Engineering-related subject.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and technical decision-making.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD packages, such as Creo, and design for manufacture principles.
**Benefits and Salary:**
