LHR, a reputable automotive brand, has an exciting opportunity for an Area Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Leicestershire. As a key member of the design team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the design and development of automotive components.

Job Description:
  • Design and develop automotive components, working closely with Specialists and Chief Engineers.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports, providing guidance and support.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.
  • Contribute to comprehensive project plans and escalate concerns, issues, and risks up the reporting chain.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • An MEng or BEng degree in an engineering-related subject.
  • A strong understanding of design engineering principles and experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Creo.
  • Previous experience working in the automotive/manufacturing industry, with design for manufacture (DFM) skills.
  • A growth mindset, good commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that offers a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
