Lead Maths Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Maths practitioner to join our Academy Improvement Team as a Lead Maths Practitioner. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to inspire and lead the improvement of teaching skills across the academy, with a focus on raising attainment in Maths.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Lead Practitioner Team to build and realise a shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students.
  • Account for students' performance in line with Academy procedures.
  • Contribute actively towards the formulation of all Academy policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent implementation.
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning in the Maths department or across the Academy.
  • Ensure that the subject knowledge of staff in the Maths department is exemplary.
  • Ensure that behaviour for learning in the Maths department is exemplary.
  • Ensure that Schemes of Learning and Independent Work are of a high quality.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering Leadership Scale, commensurate with experience. As a member of Leigh Academies Trust, you will have ample opportunity to collaborate with your peers both within the academy and across the whole Trust.
