We are seeking an exceptional Maths practitioner with a proven track record of teaching excellence to join our Academy Improvement Team as our Lead Practitioner - Maths. This is a unique opportunity for career development towards headship, where you will play a leading and highly visible role in the enhancement of teaching and learning of the department and the academic success of all students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Lead Practitioner Team to build and realise the shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students. They will also be accountable for students' performance in line with Academy procedures, contribute actively towards the formulation of all Academy policies and procedures, and ensure high-quality teaching and learning in the department or across the Academy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Lead Practitioner Team to build and realise the shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students.
  • Accounting for students' performance in line with Academy procedures.
  • Contributing actively towards the formulation of all Academy policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring high-quality teaching and learning in the department or across the Academy.
  • Ensuring that the subject knowledge of staff in the department is exemplary.
  • Ensuring that behaviour for learning in the department is exemplary.
  • Ensuring that Schemes of Learning and Independent Work are of a high quality.
