We are working with primary schools in Coventry/Nuneaton that cater to students with diverse Special Educational Needs, including Moderate Learning Disabilities, Severe Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviour, Global Developmental Delay, and Autism.

The schools we partner with have implemented a comprehensive strategy focused on promoting desirable behaviour and essential skills, aiming to empower their students to become independent after completing their education.

This approach fosters healthy relationships between teachers and students, creating a strong foundation for learning and development.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a critical role in preparing instructional materials, conducting 1:1 and group learning support for students with additional needs. You will maintain a safe environment for these students, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional well-being while adapting your teaching methods according to their unique requirements.

Our partnering schools are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to fill various placement opportunities, ranging from day-to-day to short-term and long-term assignments.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in an educational setting (6 months')
  • A calm, patient, and caring demeanor
  • A solid understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience supporting students in their education through 1:1 and small group interactions
