About the Role

Kaleidoscope Project is a leading provider of substance misuse treatment services. We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Care: Provide onsite dispensing and supervision of substitute opiate medication, undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and drug screening, and deliver clinical interventions.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide services including substitute prescribing, harm reduction initiatives, family planning, and clinical assessments.
  • Support Service Users: Engage service users, deliver clinical interventions, follow protocols, and ensure high-quality care.
  • Facilitate Transitions: Facilitate transfer of service users to primary care services and community mental health teams.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse: Must be a registered nurse with a passion for helping those with substance misuse problems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, flexibility, and a non-judgemental approach.
