About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse or paramedic to join our team as a Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare to detainees in police custody suites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care to detainees in police custody suites
  • Work closely with police officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for detainees
  • Conduct health assessments and provide treatment as necessary
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of detainees
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience working in a patient-facing role in a relevant field, such as general practice, A&E, emergency medicine, acute medicine, walk-in centres, substance misuse services, prison healthcare, or ambulance service
  • Driving licence and ability to travel to different locations
  • Police vetting and DBS clearance
